Working as a celebrant is a privilege, to be able to create individual and cherished moments, making sure that they reflect our identities and our personalities. My ceremonies are not a one size fits all, each one is different just like the people I work with. I spend time with families where I listen and understand each individual story to then create a beautiful, heartfelt and fitting script delivered with an uplifting, friendly and relaxed style.
I have been trained, accredited and am now a member of the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants. I have a diploma in Celebrancy and have been delivering ceremonies for the last 7 years, and I am fully insured. I have also trained as a Celebrant Plus with the Coffin Club gaining a much deeper understanding of the many diverse and inclusive ways of holding funeral ceremonies. I work regularly with progressive and traditional Funeral Directors in the Birmingham, Sandwell and Worcestershire area but can also be booked independently by families to deliver services anywhere in the Midlands.
I have always been passionate about equality and supporting others to have wonderful lives, having worked for many years in the world of safeguarding and wellbeing as a trainer and a practitioner. Alongside my celebrant role I also work with groups of women from disadvantaged backgrounds facilitating song writing and music workshops.
My work is not just confined to delivering ceremonies, as someone who is concerned about climate change I don't just promote an environmental friendly way to live but also an environmental friendly way to die too! I organise workshops focused on funeral planning that encourage people to consider eco-friendly alternative ways to say goodbye. See my Blog post for further information.
I also facilitate Death Cafes where I host conversations about death over a cup of tea and cake and I like to get involved in the activities of BrumYodo - https://brumyodo.org.uk.
I am a mum of three grown up daughters and have five grandchildren. I love cooking, in particular vegan meals, I am passionate about the environment, and am an advocate for social change in all spheres of life. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, my philosophy of life is to fill it up with things you love.
I have become a celebrant to make sure people have the best ceremonies possible, ceremonies that reflect lives, loves and dreams.

People thought that you knew my mother because of the way you told her life story and the end line was fantastically said you sounded just like her 😂😂😂 moms service was the best and I have no doubt in thinking that you were a massive part of that♥️ you really did make an unbearable moment more bearable.... I wouldn't change a thing🥰 we will all be forever grateful to you♥️ I realise now that angels don't always have wings and fly, they (you) walk amongst us ♥️
